4.20 needs some fixing

Just yesterday I installed 4.20 in the launcher and everything went fine, except for the fact that everytime I try to import my assets or I try to open the program, it will always freeze even tho the shaders have been compiled 100%, in the previous version, 4.19.2, I was able to work seamlessly on importing, opening, material optimization and much more, no random freezing, no pc crashing, seems like version 4.20 needs some fixing and optimizations because if I keep going this way, I will break or even burn my pc from all this freezing and crashing thing.

For me its best to keep using 4.19.2 until 4.20 has been optimized and fixed.

And I’m pretty sure even some of you had that problem

Today I got a bluescreen after I had to do the last step on importing, and that was the textures. So please, if you have the same problem, use the previous version and wait for the developers to fix these issues. And yeah, I imagine how hard would be for them to fix and optimize because of the fact that they use C++ to update and fix this engine.

I don’t ever go to the next major version until after a “.1” appears next to it. Otherwise I find myself in developmental hell nine times out of ten.

BlackFace_A is right. I think that we should wait till Epic Games “Officially” announce that it’s completely save for use.

I got bluescreen after restarting my PC with 4.20.0 installed. Then restart, restore PC before 4.20.0 installation, then it’s fine, then installing 4.20.0 for 2nd time, it looks ok, then after restarting my PC, I got bluescreen again…
