If you select the animation to debug in the dropdown “Select an item to debug”, the next time you press play, it will unselect the animation and go back to “No debug object selected”.
The same dropbox works fine in the Character blueprint, but not on the Animation one.
I have looked into the issue mentioned above and was able to reproduce it. I have gone ahead and logged it. If you would like to keep an eye on the issue, you can do so here in our public tracker. If you have any other questions regarding the topic above feel free to reopen this thread.
This one is still unsolved. We can’t select object to debug before pressing play,which leads to the situation that the blueprint has already executed as nothing has been selected to debug.
