When you accidentally forget to assign a landscape layer and begin to paint, a modal window keeps popping up no matter what you do telling you that you have not assigned a layer. The only way out of this loop ( I mean who besides epic uses modal windows anymore) is to actually shut down the toolset and start over. This is due to your love of the outdated modal windows. You know the ones that take over the focus on the entire toolset?
