I’m stuck in a loop updating 4.14 ,and happens in a lot of cases in the launcher for instance downloading projects like xoio berlin and refelections . also when i click the little arrow up right hand corner of the launcher , the box
that appears showing the download progress is wired has a small extended section cut .
Did you guys implement some kind of Array Sorting? Because I was originally having a problem of arrays creating randomizing the objects order, and now it either goes normal or full reverse in the value, but it does work normally when you start as a Standalone Game.
Has anyone experienced capsule trace issues with 4.14.1 ? I am having issue where on the same static mesh trace goes through some of the triangles and doesn’t go through others. That never happened in 4.13.2 and older versions of UE4.
I am planning on making videos showing the issue and showing that it works fine in 4.13.2 in the same scene. Just wanted to know if someone else having the same issues.
Also, when the Sort node is going to be included? LowEnd has on his LE Extended Library, and after checking out the source code, it appears to be what few folks told me, it’s just a few lines of code, but it would be very nice to have it as people begin to use array and need to get it on order.
Hmm I might be seeing , I just added a laser site option to some weapons the other day and noticed the laser at times seemed to be hitting the mesh and other times it was obviously hitting the capsule. Unfortunately I just uninstalled 4.14.1 because I’ve been getting significantly worse performance than in 4.14 and was looking to try and roll back to that, otherwise I will reinstall 4.14.1 and look closer at it and get back to you.
Same here. Had been using 4.14 for 2 weeks, 8 hours a day every day, so I got used to the time it takes for performance/response to decrease (usually around 4 hours). Now with 4.14.1, the performance (time it takes to load blueprints, add nodes, and such) drop hits within an hour or 2. Even starting with a blank project with hardly any blueprints and nodes within them, the performance isn’t good.
If you can can identify a specific test case that displays a performance degradation between 4.14.0 and 4.14.1, please share those results on the UE4 Answerhub in the bug reports section, and our support staff will also test the results.
4.14 has some issue where on some of my levels, going PIE causes a complete lock. I have to hard reset the computer. It seems to be tied to the landscape. If I delete the landscape it does not happen.
I told you that i never use hotfixes ,i always stick with original releases (4.13.0 , 4.14.0 …that ends with .0) and my doubts were right a lot of issues after updating to 4.14.1 . Now i need to know the way to step back from update and roll back to 4.14.0.
the original version 4.14.0 was fantastic , any suggestions how to go back to 4.14.0 other than github.
Its a strange bug. As somebody says many times, you can get a one pixel window very difficult to see. You can watch the taskbar and guess that there are two windows of UE4Editor, then you can gues there is another window open.
But many times it doesnt appear anything. Then i try to open another blueprint editor and happens the same. I cant edit any blueprint. The only solution is exiting of UE4Editor and open again loading the project you were working. is very annoying and you waste a lot of time. I cant guess any reproducible way, just many times does it. ( you want to edit a blueprint and it doesnt show the progress bar opening blueprint editor, it takes some time thinking and then nothing happens, you can use the window normally but you cant edit any other blueprint…)
Im using Ue4Editor 4.14.1 for in Ubuntu 16.04 with i5 3470 and 8 gb ram.
I go to Project Settings, and want to go Binding -> Action mapping: When i do whatever, add, delete edit any action, i get an error message saying: “Could not make /… my projectpath/DefaultInput.ini writable”. But it has writeble permission and the changes i made are taking place… Sorry for my bad english, but although i get the message error, it does what it has to do.
In Editor settings for example i dont get error message and i have the same permissions in the same folder.
