I’m working on a blueprint script for climbing a ledge, and “move component to” doesn’t show up anywhere. I tried copying the node from a previous engine version, and got “conflicting nodes substituted during paste!”
Any Idea what’s happening here?
Hello Ascendancy,
I am having trouble recreating your issue on our end
. I have a couple questions for you that will help me narrow down your issue.
- Can you reproduce this issue in a new project
- If so could you provide a detailed list of steps so I can recreate your issue on our end
- Could you provide screenshots of your blueprint and other related screens pertaining to your issue?
Thanks
I moved the project to 4.14, and still can’t find it in the palette. I started a blank blueprint project in 4.14, and was able to pull it up there. I tried copying it from there, considering they use the same engine version, and i get the same message.
The steps I take are what you’d expect: right click on the event graph, type “Move component to” and nothing shows up. I also unchecked context sensitive and found it nowhere. It’s an all blueprint project, and wasn’t started long ago.
I feel very silly now. I realized I was trying to use that node inside of a function, which can’t happen.
You shouldn’t feel silly; that was a brilliant discovery. I had the exact same problem, thanks for the solution!
