4.12 static lighting error

Hi there,

when I migrated my project from 4.11 to 4.12, I stumbled upon a lighting error. My map is quite simple. It just consists of a house (static), the floor (static), a static directional light and a static skylight. In 4.11 that setup worked beautifully

But after switching to 4.12, my static object don’t seem to receive any static lighting.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Can you answer the following questions for me:

  • Have you tried rebuilding lighting for your scene?
  • Is it only these assets that are causing issues?
  • Have you tried creating a new level and adding the same static meshes to see if the lighting builds?
  • Is this a Blueprint with static meshes or individually placed actors that you’ve build lighting for?
  • If it’s a BP, make sure that they are not set to movable in their mobility settings.
