When I launch 4.11 and open the 4.10 project i had it tells me if I want to open a copy. I say yes and makes a copy for 4.11. However, when I open it gives me this error “The program can’t start because UE4Editor-LightPropagationVolumeRuntime.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program”.
Then instead I tried converting in place and then I get this error “/Unreal Projects/“project Name”/Intermediate/Android/APK/libs/VrApi.jar could not be removed. Try deleting it manually and try again.”
How do I fix this problem. And yes I did already reinstalled 4.11 and I created a new project and it worked fine for 4.11,
I downloaded from the UE4 launcher. I also reinstalled it and still doesn’t work. If the dll is missing from the directory and verifing is doesn’t restore the file what do I do??
Hello ,
Is your 4.11 version downloaded from the Epic Games Launcher (Binary) or from Github (Source built)? Have you checked your 4.11 installation directory to see if this .dll is present? If you’re using a Binary build, the default file location should be:
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\4.11\Engine\Plugins\Blendables\LightPropagationVolume\Binaries\Win64
If not, I would suggest attempting to verify the installation to see if it will restore the file. If you’re using a source built version, it would be best to recompile the engine to restore the .dll
Have you checked to see if it is missing? It could be not finding it correctly although it is present but we need to confirm that it isn’t there before making any assumptions.
Ok I needed to open MyProject.Ueditor in notepad and enable the Light volume plugin to true and it worked.
