Hello ,
I was not able to reproduce this issue on our end. I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.
Quick questions:
- Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
- If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
- Could you provide screen shots of any blueprints that may be involved?
Thanks for reply!
Seems like uninstalling and reinstalling leap motion orion fixed the issue for a while.
But after exiting and entering editor again it crashed as before after enabling hand image/passtrough.
Precise way to reproduce this bug:
- create blank project in 4.11.2
- enable Leapmotion plugin in input plugins.
- create new gamemode
- change pawn to leap echo hands
- create input action ChangeHands, bind it to “h” (or whatever)
- enter playmode
- press “h”
yesterday reinstalling leapmotion orion drivers (latest from developer website)
temporarly fixed this issue but today its there again.
Thank you for the additional information, however I am still unable to reproduce this issue on our end. Would it be possible for you to provide the project that you are using to reproduce this issue? This way I will be able to take a closer look and further narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.
There is simple setup that initializes the crash:
Hello ,
After looking through your project, I didn’t get the crash and it does not appear to have anything other than starter content and a new game mode. Is there anything special that I have to do within your project to get the crash to occur?
other than the steps I’ve specified before, not.
Is it possible that the crash occurs because some C++ libriaries are not up to date or something? Its very weird.
Looking into saved folder for crash logs, is it telling You something about nature of the crashes?
edit: updated everything on my computer, (win 7 sp 1, i5 3,2 ghz, 8 gb ram, gtx 660),uninstalled avast, reinstalled firmware and im still having this issue.
also after crash im having this log :
Hey ,
I was able to find your crash in our system, but I haven’t been able to reproduce it. However, I did notice a crash comment from another user that they think it might be related to Avast Antivirus interfering with the Leap Motion Plugin. Can I ask if you happen to use Avast?
-.
No ive completely uninstalled avast from my system, but then updated Nvidia drivers to the latest version.
It helped a litle (meaning it does’nt explode every time i enable image hands) but I still cannot enable passtrough for the purpose of displaying leapmotion camera view in a material, it either crashes or doesnt show up at all.
Hey Bricktop,
We still can’t repro it, but I’ve entered the crash as UE-31029 without an internal repro.
This is for the originally reported crash though. Does the new crash have the same callstack?
