Unreal 4.1 still contains this problem where a careless “abs” path causes these matches to fail when in fact they are fine. This occurs on a mac where “home” directory is not on root drive. A very common setup for any mac with more than 1 hard drive. There is no easy way to fix this as all your “user” files on on second hard drive - short of getting a new mac or moving all your files around. Which you likely can’t do as reason it’s on two hard drives is you ran out of space on a single drive in first place. I’d ask you to take this bug seriously as it completely disables unreal 4 from use on these systems. You can neither save or load a level - completely making unreal 4 un-operable on these systems.
Get any mac with two hard drives where “user” drive is on second hard drive.
- Download Unreal.
- Open “Example Content” project.
- Try and load any level map …
