Hey everyone,
So im experiencing a bit of a issue, Okay here it goes…
In my 3rd person BP_FPS_Character blueprint Class i have my arms and weapon. (pic below) Im following a tutorial and the weapon shows up in the instructors hands but i cannot for the life of me get my arms to have the weapon in them. ive went over the video 5x and sure i didn’t miss anything. i took the mesh and added it to bone like i should for the skeletal mesh for the arms and the weapons shows me holding it there but not in the BP class preview. Basically what im attempting to do is get the aiming for the weapon correct and even with no weapon when i press play for level the guns there as it should be and works just not in the blueprint i have it decently sighted without the weapon being held in the preview but its a hassle to move the arms then hit play over and over to check it. Everything (pics below of skeletal mesh for arms, and animation preview, and BP class) shows as the weapons in my hands but the bp_character class and im just wondering for future reference how this should be done to get the aiming on the weapon more precise. **also is this a Parent/child socket issue? i was reading somewhere that that might be the case and if so the “sockets” section in the BP_Charcter blueprint is grayed out as seen in the Pic below.
