Hello! Small thing which is driving me crazy –
I am trying to modify a pair of boots (skeletal mesh) in 3dsMax and reimport it back into a ue5 project but I am having issues with the skeleton. A couple approaches I’ve already tried
Deleting the skeleton in 3dsMax and exporting only the boots – which leaves me with a static mesh.
Keeping the skeleton as a dummy and replacing it on import or reassigning to the original skeleton after its been imported – which gets me the “failed to merge bones” error
anyone got any hints for me ?
