3DS Max Animation to UE4 Biped Problem

Here is an image of the before and after of my character animation from 3DS Max to UE4


When I export the animation I do so as an fbx file which in turn I import into UE4 and no matter which boxes I seem to check/uncheck in the process the hand elements (hand, wrist and fingers) get this weird look to them. Anyone know/have an idea of how to solve this?

I hope I am wrong… but I think UE4 does not understand 3dsMax Biped characters… but it accepts 3dsMax meshes with skin modifier & bones…!!


Do you have twist bones running up the forearm?
