If you’re worried about tools that rip 3D models from online viewers, here’s a simple and effective workaround that avoids exposing real geometry at all.

Sketchfab Method (Fake 3D Preview)

Instead of uploading the actual 3D assets:

  1. Render your full pack (or scene) in your 3D software.

  2. Place the rendered image on a single plane (flat object).

  3. Upload only that plane to Sketchfab.

  4. Adjust the camera angle so the plane looks like a real 3D scene.

  5. Lock the camera view.

Result:

  • Anyone trying to rip the model will only get:

    • one flat plane

    • one texture

  • No real meshes, no modular assets, no usable geometry.

FAB Method (No 3D Preview)

  • Disable the 3D preview entirely

  • Use render images only for presentation

Result:

  • No geometry is streamed to the browser

  • Nothing can be extracted or ripped

Why This Works

  • 3D ripping tools can only extract what is actually loaded in the viewer

  • If there’s no real geometry, there’s nothing valuable to steal

  • This avoids WebGL extraction, buffer grabbing, and mesh reconstruction
