3D Scan webcam Any affordable lenses to recommend?

We are going to build a new 3D scanner, and want to ask if there are any cheap camera recommendations. We plan to learn to use Raspberry Pi to control the camera to shoot, just like pi3dscan. Thank you for this, but I don’t understand the effect of the 5MP camera. It seems that the effect is not ideal. Is there a higher pixel? Or if there is any recommended company in the community to use the camera and Raspberry Pi software, we will discuss the procurement.Also added, the Raspberry Pi controls the playback texture of the projection.

this was a first idea to came on my mind as you mentioned cheaper solution. Of course there is a plenty of possible solutions. I don’t know which company uses this set up, it was just an idea.

What do you mean by effect? It all depends, what your results should look like.
