3D mapping orientation / horizon isse

Hi,

 

I am new to this program. I tried importing 2 different sets of drone mapping photos to process in RC and both has the orientation / horizon alignment issue. Is there something wrong with my photos, how should i re-orient the photo to the correct horizon?

Hello Yingfa John Li,

can you please specify what kind of alignment issue do you mean? Is it the relative position of the model and the grid plane? If so, you can adjust the position via Reconstruction tab - Define Ground Plane.

are your pictures properly geolocalized ? If so the ground plane should be horizontal.

the pictures seems to be geo localized correctly as they seems correct when I uploaded them into drone deploy app. But when i tried using Autodesk Recap, it has the same issue. How do I check if they are correctly geo localized?

As Jonathan said, your data needs to be georeferenced. If it is not, RC can only guess which way is “up”.

you can find it at the end of the 3rd row of the tiles,

you can alternatively use the search facility at the top of the page
