Cyan is located in Spokane, a city of roughly a half a million, located in eastern Washington (the sunny side of the state) in the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountains. The sky is high and the cost of living is low. It’s less than an hour drive to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (a beautiful lake resort area); a 45 minute flight to Seattle; a day’s drive to Yellowstone, Glacier, and Banff Springs National parks; a half-day flight to Hawaii; and a world away from the rat race.

Please send a CV/Resume and provide links to your portfolio and/or demo reel to [EMAIL=“warzecha@cyan.com”]warzecha@cyan.com. Applicants without a portfolio WILL NOT be considered.

I loved Myst and Riven, I’m glad to see Cyan back with something new.

Is this in-house only or are there any telecommute/freelance positions available?

very nice, master:)

In-house only, for the time being.

That Dynamic river is amazing!! I might be able to set up the vertex foam painting but have no clue how you can paint the flow of the river, that is just awesome! Cool stuff here, I’m interested in playing this game! good luck!

I’m pretty sure they’re using flow-maps (https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Rendering/Materials/Functions/Reference/Texturing/index.html#zworldspaceflow) and created a custom tool for the Editor to edit the map in real-time viewport.

Yup, pretty much. I’ve written a custom flow-map function that gives a few extra bits of functionality, and then we also modified our engine to allow for in-engine flow authoring.

Very excited for this game!
