3D Animator

Skunkwerks Kinetic is looking for an experienced animator to help bring our game characters to life.
We are a small game studio working on our first PC title, MEG 9, in collaboration with William Gibson.
Responsibilities:
work closely with Creative Director and concept artists to make our characters and game props come to life
work with AI programmer to determine specifications for gameplay animations
assess existing animations and models, making improvements as necessary
create new prop and character animation sequences from design specifications and existing models
create specific animation sequences for cinematics/cut-scenes/promotional material
Requirements :
degree or diploma in 3D modelling, animation and/or relevant industry experience
expert level understanding of animation principles
strong sense of timing and posing
broad knowledge of proportion, architectural/mechanical functionality
expertise in 3D software (Maya or 3ds Max)
Additional Skills:
experience with Unreal Engine/Unity game engines a huge plus
credits on previous releases (console, PC) highly valued
You are:
a video-game enthusiast
knowledgeable in contemporary media (web, games, comics, film, animation, etc)
open-minded, flexible and willing to learn new techniques and software interfaces
eligible to work in Canada
