Landscape Layer Blend problem when switching blend type

When I switch the blend type inside a Landscape Layer Blend from LB_HeightBlend to LB_AlphaBlend, the height input gets removed and the other inputs get connected to wrong inputs, so I have to reconnect everything.

This is not a bug, but expected when you switch the layer blend mode that has already been set. The nodes cannot auto detect which inputs to connect to since you have essentially modified the size of the layer blend node itself. You are going to need to do some reconnecting anyway so shifting the connections up one is not really an issue.

Wouldn’t it be possible that just Height input gets removed and all the other inputs are left as they are?

Fortunately I did some digging and the issue has already been reported as (UE-16525). This could get kicked back as ‘By Design’ but until that time we must wait until it has been addressed by the developers.
