Thriller Risers and Stingers is a tightly focused library of purpose-built tension elements for trailers, Film and TV. Every recording here is designed to do a specific job, whether that is building unbearable pressure over a few seconds or landing a sharp, precise moment of impact.
The bowed metals section, split between processed bowed cymbals and alien metals, covers twenty-two recordings per set ranging from six to sixteen seconds. The character moves from atonal phased metal at one end to sustained physical bow pressure at the other. Disturbing Risers reverse and distort these bow recordings into upward builds with an unpredictable edge. Gong Distorted Riser Stingers take Tibetan gong recordings through heavy processing into twenty-eight impacts running from four seconds to a full minute, each with a horror-doom character that sits firmly in the thriller and horror space.
The Mind Bender Stingers use Doppler pitch bend movements to pull the listener through a shift in perception. The Tibetan Bowl Distorted Stingers extend single bowl hits into longer decaying elements, and the Time Bending Risers complete the set with reversed high-pitched bowed cymbal builds.
