Dark Atmospheres Vol 2 is a library of designed tension and dread for Film, TV, Games and horror audio. The content is wide, covering ambient bell textures, Tibetan bowl-based drones, Eastern instrument atmospheres, sci-fi pad drones, gut-rumbling sub layers and a range of purpose-designed beds meant to sit in the background of scenes that need to feel wrong.
The bell section alone covers eight named designed textures, each built to set a mood rather than play a note: eerie, glitchy, psychedelic, underwater and more. The drone section draws heavily from Tibetan bowl recordings, processed and layered into slow-moving nine-part series. The Eastern atmosphere recordings run to around three minutes each, with names like Haunted By Hidden Entity, Deserted Battlefield and Echoes Dark Forest that tell you exactly where they belong in a cut.
Further in the library are pulsating dread pads, metallic oscillation pads, gong drone series and head shaker drone layers that give editors and sound designers a broad palette to pull from. Most of these work straight out of the box, but they also take pitch and time-stretch processing without falling apart.
All sounds are fully metadata tagged and ready for Unreal, Unity, Wwise, and FMOD.
