All vault content still visible, but if iv not downloaded it and have it saved localy, i have no access.
Also the FAB plugin dosnt show up so unable to install to engine to access assets the other way
Ive done every step possible, other than format my pc. The only thing that seems to work is if I create another Epic Games Account and then Fab marketplace, The Fab UE Plugin, and the syncing of the assets from Fab web to the vault all work. However, this doesn’t work on my main account with all my purchased products.
I’ve tried the following:
Done all the normal steps (update epic games, click search - “fab”, maked sure we have 5.3 project or latest ect)
Completely removing ALL Epic Games/Unreal Engine/Epic Launcher/Epic Online System Content (Bad Move! because the cached files where the only ones that would work - now i have access to nothing because nothing is cached)
Created a New Epic Games Account - Works well as expected from finding the Fab Plugin to getting content into UE, but as mentioned doesn’t help because I don’t have assets on that account
Tried clearing all browser cache as well as using different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
I know where the Fab plugin is located. I sent the last 2 days trouble shooting it, trying every possible solution and thought (other than format reinstall)
I have got it to show up within the Epic Launcer by creating another account and adding it to the Engine. However, this is step 1. The rest all fallls apart. Once you get the plugin it still doesn’t help because it doesn’t get added to your vault for you to then “Install to engine” or “Add to Project”
Even when you try it within the UE Editor or within the Launcher.
yes. been in loops with them for the last 9 hours. each time telling me to submit a form on the same web link as the one there replying to me from.
so my second UE account can see things that i haven’t downloaded but still no sign of the FAB plugin. even after refreshing, logging on and off, and making sure all is visible.
my main account with well over £10,000.00 of assets purchased, thousands of asset packs!
i can see on the FAB site, but not in my library in epic launcher anymore.
I have the same issue starting from this morning.
I’ve tried on multiple machines. Always the same.
If you have a friend/colleague who does not have the problem and was able to install the FAB plugin without any problems, you can have them pass the plugin to you and manually copy it into the Plugins folder of the engine. The path should be this: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_5.4\Engine\Plugins
