2ww City environment

for this stage i combined diferent tipes of bricks that where used in the 1940s european arquitechture, so that i can have diferent color and textures in the environment

here some example of my references and how it has been aplyed on my scene in this process

Hi, this week y modeled a tank inspired in the german panzer TIGER I for this environment in maya, and did some light
ing correction, here is my references, also placed te tank in the environment,

!

here is my lighting references and how is it going

Hi, here are my tank textures and the references im using, for dust, and all the painting character. i will be checking them with the light I alredy have in my project sothat i can make any adjustment needed. hope you like it.

here the tank with its textures in the unreal scene

also made some flags for the set dressing and its textures in substance painter

hi, this week i worked in optimizing my panzer geometries, and i did all the textures again sothat i can have a better resolution for the close up shots i want as a final result. I also worked in the lighting of the scene because i needed more shadows, so i make a correction in the moon light position and intensity. Another thing i added this week was more set dressing with the rubbish in the floor and some cracks in the walls, for this i used folliage and decals.

Hi there @MARKIMIDEZ !

Historical pieces are always quite fun. I love the amount of detail you’ve put into what others may see as just an open space.

I also love the cloth texture for the banners and was curious if you can tell me how you got that detail?

shure, i painted it in substance painter, first i loocked for the fabric texture with a denim base texture that you can find in painter and then i modified it all the parameters sothat i could have the fabric texture and all the border sewn, and then i worked the spots and all the dirt with diferent dirt brushes and some generators

hi, this week I worked more detail in the destruction of the buildings, putting more exterior cracks and holes, also worked their interior destruction sothat the scene can have more arquitectonic volume, with some damaged floors and construction beams . in the entire scene I did more set dressing with debris , stones and did more light correction. As i said before i need more drop shadows with the moon light to gain more volume and a realistic view but also it has to be well graduated, it is inspired in the dawn hours sothat all the work in the textures can be seen but at the same time have a nostalgic mood . As a final touch im starting to add some vfx with fire in niagara.

Hi again @MARKIMIDEZ,

So nice to see the update for this. It looks spectacular. The lighting and destruction in the scene is so immersive. It’s the sense of subtle sadness, however, that I think made this scene so incredible to see. Brilliant work, as expected  Can’t wait to see your final version

hi everyone, this week i analized my scene in terms of how would it be the strategy to defend the city from the enemies attack, so I decided to make an artillery element, inspired in the ones that where used in the fall of the Reichstag by the german army to defend from aerial allies forces. So I searched for some references and then modeled in maya, terxturized in substance and here are the results and how is it loocking, i put it in strategic parts of my map. This week i also changed my flags simbol to the iron cross, and made some correction in how all my geometry was intersected to avoid the glitch it usually makes, hope you like how is it loocking
