2d sidescroller and third person shooter modes in udk vs ue4

If kismet graphs(that ones from unreal engine 3/unreal development kit) were kind of like prototype I mean early implemention of blueprint graphs that we know today in unreal editor/engine 4 so did Epic Games planned earlier 2d sidescroller(like that metroidvania indie game Shadow Complex made in ue3,right?) and third person shooters in unreal engine 3 before unreal engine 4 came out? If some user here in this very forum suggested me to convert/move jazz jackrabbit ios kismet demo from udk to ue4 then how can I import unreal scripts of jazz jackrabbit 3(jj3d-two demos were leaked online anyway)from unreal engine/editor 1 such as main menu,pause screen to unreal engine/editor 4?
