2D Impulse Not Working

I’m trying to make my 2D character fly back when hit, similar to a Castlevania/Megaman style game. I think there’s something I’m missing here, but I can’t put my finger on it. My Impulse node isn’t doing anything. My character takes damage. But she stays in place, which typically means she’s damaged multiple times in rapid succession.

Impulses only effect objects that are simulating physics. I believe the node you’re looking for is Launch. Hope that helps!
