2D game Art for Unreal Engine

Hey guys,

I am currently trying to build my own 2D platformer, but im having trouble with creating assets in photoshop and transferring it over to Unreal Engine. When I draw something in photoshop, and transfer it over and try to place it within the world, I usually get the thing I had drawn, along with the white background which I do not know how to get rid of. Now I have no background in programming, game design or even know how to draw for that matter, so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to get answers for these questions and problems I have.

Thank you,

white background -> you have to create an alpha channel.

Wow, it was that simple eh :\ Thank you . I was wondering, do you know of any places I can go to to find tutorials of doing 2D game art or learning to do 2D game art?

You can find some pretty good ones on youtube.
Otherwise -> learning by doing
