oh that’s awesome! Good luck on your entry!
Forgot to post my stream at the beginning today; for those who wanted to follow along the replay is here.
I’m not sure whether updating this thread is spamming, but I figure those who aren’t interested can simply ignore the single thread.
Not spam at all Good luck!
Today’s stream here.
So… As the MegaJam is coming towards the end the teamwork involved in putting the game together has gotten progressively more stressful. I’ll be posting a summary and some tutorials after the jam, but I won’t be streaming the dev process unedited until a real alpha has been put together and I’m doing comparatively low stress polishing.
My alpha is up. The game is a cooperative building game, where players can play and switch between three different classes to assemble futuristic trees as quickly as possible in a datcha.
All the assets including the code were created this week. We made models out of paper, plaster, and various other materials; our graphic artist then hand painted them and used Reality Capture to convert the physical models into digital meshes with textures.

Anyone willing to playtest it would be greatly appreciated. I’m specifically interested in how effective the help and tutorial are.
Gotta be a member of the project to test it
I’ll give it a go if you want to add me
It’s published but unlisted. Oops. Wrong code. I may be a little tired.

Not sure what to do. Left after a couple of minutes. I would consider maybe a cinematic or something to show where to go? the instructions didn’t make it into my brain.
Yeah, that makes sense. I tried to tutorialize as best I could, a cinematic is a good idea. I’ll figure out how to get one together tomorrow.
Err… Jam is over, I can’t make any more modifications. But I did put together a tutorial. The game is really designed for teams; a part of the concept was that players playing as different classes and picking which build points to construct on would be faster than players playing alone.
