I use TM for residential landscape design, nothing too complex, but a lot of plants. I am using an Intel based 2019 Macbook Pro with an AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GB. When I export raster images (99% of what I use TM for) they render to different levels of completeness. Been using since TM 2020, and keeping up with updates with no such issues.
Thank you for posting in the community and it looks like there are some hardware limitations when you are trying to export your media images. I recommend you try to save the Twinmotion file then close and re-open the Twinmotion file to just export the media. Also check to make sure you have enough free space on your hard drive. If you export one image at a time are the results the same and is this happening in the hotfix version we released today 2022.1.2? Does this happen in all your files or just a specific one?
If you are still having troubles we can investigate further by contacting us using this link:
Your advice leads to to think it is just this file. I have 420GB available on a 1TB SSD, and when I save/close/restart machine and export just one image at a time it still only partially renders the image. I am using today's release.
I then imported a file I made with 2021 and had no issues with into 2022 and exported fine. So I am thinking it is this one file. To add some detail we originally outsourced this file to a 3rd party company, but when we got it back it was not as good as what we do in-house so I used their file and reworked it. There is now an old scenegraph from the SKP model they imported that I cannot delete (when I right click on it the delete option is grayed out). So maybe something in there is corrupted? Is there like a purge tool I could use to remove these undeletable objects?
Thank you for the follow-up and detailed explanation of the history behind this file. At the moment there is no purge button but you can open the material list and delete unused materials and then in the scene graph you should be able to delete everything that isn't locked (only elements that used the older plugin may be locked).
The only way to get rid of the locked folder/geometry in question is to open the SKP file and have an empty view and synchronize with the old plugin then the folder will become empty. Otherwise you could start a new scene and Merge all the contents then the Locked folder will be able to be deleted. This will not import any saved media and those would have to be redone.
Please submit a bug regarding this file so we can investigate/reproduce the cause of those not finished renderings.
I took the new scene route and merged the old file into it. Other than a little bit of tidying up in the scene side bar it worked perfectly, images exported just fine. I will submit a bug report on this as well. Thank you so much!
