You can have up to 16 classes for players, giving them different loadouts, abilities & stats, good for making a default class, medic class, sniper class, pilot class etc etc.
Teams are able to contain players of different classes. The same class can be used on both teams.
Island Settings contains the default abilities and Stats of Players
The Teams Settings and Inventory Device are usually used to set up a Teams Default Loadout, Abilities & Stats, usually using one Device Per Team, these Settings will Override the same settings that are found in Island Settings.
Class Designer Devices are used to Configure Classes, usually using 1 device per Class, these settings Override both Teams Settings and Island Settings
Many Devices can be set to only affect a certain class or team, spawns, teleporters, damage zones, turrets, vehicles etc etc
The Island Settings can set a Default Class which players will spawn as.
The Island Settings can be used to set up a default Team assignment, Split Evenly or Dynamic, Split evenly is fairly automatic, Dynamic is used when you want to manage team sizes, and you can use Devices to manually setup up teams.
Class Selector Devices are what is used to change teams and classes, either by players entering its zone or by using some external event tied to the Selector to change a player to what has been specified, 1 device per team or class
