Good afternoon guys, I’m starting to study UE5 and I got really interested in 2.5D, especially games that use pixelated sprites mixing 3D, I’ve been looking for some tutorials and I haven’t seen any that clear my doubts.
I would love for you to send me tutorials that are compatible with this style, from real textures converted to pixels to moving characters’ camera, lighting and blueprints. I’ll be showing you 3 games that made me want to study this art style in UE5

Hey @Lolozinho69, welcome to the Unreal community!
It looks to me like you will want to look into Paper 2D, as that is the Unreal native 2D sprite builder and animator. You can find more information on Paper 2D here, as well as a quick example on how to set up a Paper 2D project over here.
I also do really recommend this official video on building a Paper 2D project. It’s a bit dated and it is an hour long, but it showcases a lot of the strengths of this system and will provide some solid foundational knowledge as you learn Paper 2D in Unreal 5.
I hope this information helps, and good luck! 2.5D games are super fun!

Hey man,
Need to ask the name of the first 2 games you showed. I only know the third is called Replaced. I know its an old post, but I just started looking into 2.5D games or (as anon refers it) Paper 2D.
Hey there @ClockPotat0e! Welcome to the community! The first image of the detective seems to be from the game “Backbone”, and the second image appears to be from “The Last Night”
