Id like to be able to view the 1d list of photos, control points, components etc… while also viewing the 2d thumbnails that normally only works in the first viewport in a different one at the same time.
I think this would be helpful while adding control points. being able to use the 2d one for selecting photos, and the 1d could stay on the control points.
except i’m working on a city model and not just one building. (currently at 2600 photos, but i’ll find some more heli runs to add into it)
so my issues is that i need to keep changing complete sets of photos as i add point in different areas that don’t overlap.
so seeing your 1d view as with controls points is good. but i also want 2d thumbnail views so i find photos in similar area to add points too. i ended up just keep switching and losing my place. i was doing this before any alignment. i think i’ll have another go with a spars cloud and 3d view.
I’ve had some similar thoughts and there may be some other ideas around this as well. I find myself looking between components, control points and image lists. With several of each type you end up doing a lot of scrolling. Would be nice to be able to select which feature(s) to display in a 1D pane… images, control points and/or components?
I absolutely second that.
Navigating through complex projects could still be improved.
The suggestion discussed here (More clearly arranged menu) is rather similar.
Or we need to change our workflow, Wishgranter?
BTW: I still think panning in 2D with RMB while placing CPs is a great idea!
I’ll have to agree that the current way of doing it is quite cumbersume at times, so I generally support the idea of making some advances in this area!
+1 for 1D and 2D at difference display at same time.
My studio just start to use CR few month ago and we take a lot of photos on big area/set/space in few day. When start to put control point will be really faster to see similar photos … if they are around 2000, will take a lot of time to switch on next by arrow. And… can arrange photo in 1D display by name ? Or I miss some futures ?
+1 for thumbnails in the 1ds view. Having to switch from thumbnail to 1ds just to change settings on control points is clumbersome.
one other addition to this would be a bright dot in the thumbnail of the control point location, so you can understand which control points are on which images at a glance
I can update this post with an image to better express this later today.
images asigned to control points (and vice versa) are clearly listed in the Control points (root) in the 1Ds panel and sorted according to a particular control point, so you probably mean a special dot for the currently active control point in the 2Ds panel, am I right?
The point is: If we work with control point and need to find next image to put control point MUST be switch between 1D and 2D - 1D to say witch point to put, and 2D to find image
this two view at the same time on layout OR thumb on 1Ds /the second screen/
