Koelreuteria paniculata is a deciduous tree belonging to the genus Koelreuteria in the Sapindaceae family, reaching up to 20 meters in height. It features large pinnate compound leaves with 7–15 leaflets, each edged with fine serrations. In summer, it bears dense, eye-catching golden-yellow small flowers arranged in terminal panicles. By autumn, it produces reddish-brown capsules shaped like small lanterns, hanging from the branches—highly ornamental throughout the seasons.
