Clerodendrum quadriloculare, also known as Starburst or Shooting Star, is a stunning flowering plant native to New Guinea and the Philippines . It is a fast-growing shrub or small tree that thrives in sun to partial shade . The plant has gray-green leaves with a deep purple backing, giving it a unique appearance. In mid-winter and early spring, it produces white star-shaped flowers with a pink tail, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies with its nectar . Clerodendrum quadriloculare can be used as an accent plant, a backdrop for smaller plants, a privacy screen, or a large shrub for the corner of a house .
