At Modumate, we’re building the next generation of 3D building design for architects - a fast, gorgeous, multiplayer, and intelligence-packed design engine which will leapfrog architects 20 years into the present. Modumate is part game, part productivity platform, and 10x better than status quo tools. We think of Modumate as “The Sims Pro”, with professional-grade building parts and performance simulations… which will help 2M+ architects design $10.6T of construction to be 10x better, 10x faster.
Architects will choose and compose a kit of ~100 3D parts to model a building, and Modumate will provide an unprecedented amount of intelligence to help them work smarter and faster. MVP release is planned for end of year.

CTO Jason Shankel has 25 years’ game dev experience, 15 of which was spent at Maxis/EA on SimCity, The Sims, Spore (and 10 years at startups with Will Wright and Mark Pincus).
CRO Larry Neumann has sold two startups and a 25-year career in marketing and sales.
Product Designer Samee Sheikh has 15 years’ architecture and construction experience, and 3 years’ UX design experience.

Talent Required:
As Lead Unreal Programmer, alongside the Modumate founding team, you’ll take charge of the following:
-develop core gameplay mechanics
-develop 2D and 3D UI system
-leverage Unreal’s various other scopes (lighting, materials, AI, LOD, etc)
Must have:
- 2+ years of Unreal engine production experience, preferably with one or more shipped titles
- Solid understanding of shaders, lighting and materials
- 5+ years of experience with C++
- Familiarity with OOP/OOD principles and object-oriented design patterns
- Solid vector math skills
Nice to have:
- Significant experience with Unity and C#
- Familiarity with drafting and architectural design workflow
- Experience with Windows platform development
- Experience developing tools for spatial design (level editors, map makers)
- Experience with PDF file generation
