0]LogUObjectGlobals:Warning: Failed to load

Can somebody please tell me what this even means? I feel like a lot is left to be desired in terms of the user friendliness in regards to packaging. If it is failing to load, why does it just not skip the thing it’s trying to load? I’ve been trying to package a year long project for over a week now to no-avail. I’m not even using these files, I’ve checked every where in the project and it won’t even show up as build failed, it just says failed to load the three random objects that I’ve never seen before or used and then hangs for 24 hours or until I cancel it. The error is:

MainFrameActions: Packaging (Windows (32-bit)): UE4Editor-Cmd: [2016.01.23-11.33.32:666][ 0]LogLinker:Warning: Can’t find file ‘/Game/ArchVis/Mesh/Frame’
MainFrameActions: Packaging (Windows (32-bit)): UE4Editor-Cmd: [2016.01.23-11.33.32:666][ 0]LogUObjectGlobals:Warning: Failed to load ‘/Game/ArchVis/Mesh/Frame’: Can’t find file ‘/Game/ArchVis/Mesh/Frame’

I can’t even explain my frustration, so forgive me. I’d really appreciate any input from staff.

PS. since when was /Game even a directory? Where do I access that and why do I have to? It does not show up as a directory in my project folder, is the engine storing files in a location I don’t know about? Because that is a no-no.

Hello,

  • Are you able to package a clean project successfully?
  • Have you upgraded this project from an older version of the engine? If so, did you open a copy or convert in place?
