One thing you can do is:
If you hold right click on your mouse, you can then use the WASD keys to “Fly” your camera around. If you then use the mouse wheel while doing so you adjust your speed of flight. You can get going remarkably fast this way, and then when you get where you need to be you can lower your speed back down to a more comfortable level.
Also, using Ctrl+1,2,3 and so on, then pressing 1,2, or 3 etc you can bookmark locations to jump to!
