WIP: Cube Ninja!

Hello all, I’d like to show you my first full fledged project, Cube Ninja!
Cube Ninja! is an action platformer with a retro style. Built entirely in blueprints, The project aims to capture the feel of classic arcade games, both by bringing the style into three dimensions and requiring a bit of skill. The project is currently in beta, and is quite fun to play. Too fun almost; I find myself trying to complete rounds instead of inspecting the feature I’m testing at the time :stuck_out_tongue: There are two modes, Story and Conquest. Story is largely straightfoward, classic single player. Platform, kill enemies, collect things, solve puzzles, etc. Conquest mode is a customizable round based survival mode, reminiscent of Halo’s Firefight or Gears of War’s Horde mode. There are three enemy types at the moment:

Cubots: Blue foot soldiers, not a challenge on their own, but in a group can be deadly.
Pyromids: Golden pyramids with a flare for launching themselves at you. Very quick and sneaky.
Cuburai: Red elite, when you anger them, the grow twice your size and do double the damage.

14 hours of work, maybe you can get some ideas from it.

It’s been a while! (I don’t do very well with updates) but I’ve made enormous progress, tweaking and fine tuning the movement and controls, I’ve overhauled the look and feel of the game as well. It now rocks a tron inspired interpretation of 80’s arcade games. I’ve started on the story mode as well, and the majority of that gameplay is platforming and speed-running. We’re now working on multiplayer functionality, but we’re not sure of all the directions to go.

Here is a video of the updated conquest mode:

Let me know what you guys think! I’ll show more as I can.
