I have the same issue after the latest Visual Studio update and the above solution with the “Verify” did not help 
But I managed to fix it by looking through other forum posts. So, what worked for me was changing the Global Default Server Game Mode to GameModeBase, as it was set to None (I renamed my project recently so that’s why it lost this setting).
