view orientation

Hi to all,

I’m a newbe so maybe this is a quick one…

I need to orient my view (in parallel mode) to a specific side of a  reconstruction region…is it possible? I need to render the solid view (not textured) with the exact orientation of the ortho projection.

thanks

Hi Carlo, the ortho is created according to reconstruction region. You can set the reconstruction region to a wanted position and then create the ortho.

Also, you can change the view side of the model using numbers.

| 0 (numpad) | Set the 3D view to a perspective view | Show a perspective of a model. |
| 1 (numpad) | Set the 3D view to a parallel view | Show a parallel projection of a model. |
| 2 (numpad) | Set the 3D view to the top view | Show the top of a model. |
| 3 (numpad) | Set the 3D view to the bottom view | Show the bottom of a model. |
| 4, 5, 6, 7 (numpad) | Set the 3D view to a side view | Show side(s) of a model. |

And also you can render image from the selected view:

You can change the ortho view by clicking on these squares:

Hi,

thanks a lot for the support. I did know how to produce an ortho projection by selecting the yellow square, but  the question is a little bit different: I would like  to orient the parallel view not to the model but to a side of the recontsruction region as you do when creating an ortho projection…doing so I can render the view also in solid view.

The 2 created images (1 from ortho projection and 1 from render the parallel view) will be perfectly stackable and I can edit and mix them in photoshop.

I don’t know if I explained it well…

This because I think that the solid view mode mixed with true color gives a lot of depth to the image…

The solution could be also to generate a ortho projection not of the textured model but of the model in solid view, but I think that this is not possible.

many thanks

Hi, it was possible in previous versions to create an ortho without colors, not it is not.
