Hi Cirralisis,
Looking for infos on GitLFS usage for UE5, and more widely game/3D app, development, I found your interesting post. So here am I, popping out this topic about 7 years later. Have you got any feedback on using GitLFS with your project ?
How about the size of your team and approximate size of all your repository ? Have you tried Git LFS lock system, which seem to be mandatory while working on binary asset ? Otherwise have you struggled without locking files ?
I’m currently looking for a good VCS to handle 3D models, textures and UE5 projects. My team will be about 5 people for the next year, but scalability is still a subject matter. I’ve looked into Perforce Helix Core but it is pricey and not that much more user friendly than using git.
