“The Thayan Wizards were a formidable foe, but its been a peaceful year for Verasia since their defeat. The Clan Leaders however still sleep with one eye open. We have to be ready.” - Townsman.
Verasia is my personal project of mine that tells the tale of a medieval town which is led by sorcerers.
I have used the best of my skills to create every single Modular Asset, Prop, Material and Foliage in the scene.(except for the birds and fog cards). I am very happy how the renders have turned out, especially the Cinematic Video. I have learned so much and I have definitely improved my skills throughout the creation of the entire scene.
You can checkout the Full Project here : ArtStation - Manoj R
My main focus was not only to make the scene good but also optimize it for the best performance. 90% of the assets use Tileable textures with an RGB Mask for Detail.
All the assets also have collision and the ladders are climbable so It is fully ready to have a walkthrough. I intend to Integrate this level into a DnD based PC game I’m creating.
References for this project mainly come from Assassins Creed: Valhalla. I have photo-scanned the leaves and flowers near my house for the foliage but for the grass and water foliage, I have used atlas scans from fab. Materials were mostly created in Substance Designer.
I also want to thank the art communities on discord, my friends and my mom for providing valuable feedback to get this output.
Please checkout the Cinematic video here :
Please check out the full town project in the link above.
I spent a lot of time making it so, I really hope you like it.

Hello @MaNIaC39000 !
This is such a beautiful piece. I love seeing the care taken into the small details of the homes. If I may ask, are the designs on the side of the house representative of the sorcerers that lead Verasia?

@The_M0ss_Man Thank you so much. By the designs, if you mean the sigils, they represent the clans that each house belongs to and if you mean the black dragon, its a dragon sculpture made of obsidian rock held together by magic.
You might get a better idea if you watch the Cinematic Video of Verasia. I have Linked it in this post itself.

Hey there @MaNIaC39000,
Hope you’re well and having a wonderful week so far
I’m absurdly obsessed with this little town. This is exactly what I want villages to feel like in MMO’s. Full of character and built WITH the environment. Absolutely stunning
All that is missing is an over abundance of flowers. My love of flowers aside, this is a beautiful environment. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us here on the Unreal Engine forums!

Hello again @PresumptivePanda , consistent admirer of my work.
Thank you for your kind words and I am well and hope you are too.
I’m a fan of flower fields also. Here I started out populating it with a lot of flowers, but since I wanted to showcase my abilities to acquire a job, I ended up adding the other foliage I created as well.
Please check out the Cinematic Video if you havn’t already, I spent a lot of time making it.
I want to thank you again for liking my work now and before while my work rarely gets any recognition. Adding on top, trying to find a job constantly takes a toll on your mind and what you said truly made my day.
Have a great week!

Hello again @MaNIaC39000 !
I was curious about the obsidian dragons mostly! I appreciate you taking the time to explain the clans as well. I did notice after re-watching the video that the clan symbols are spread throughout the environment. The use of their identifying symbols and sometimes matching colors is a really good idea!

@The_M0ss_Man I intend to use these clans as a story element when I implement this project into the DnD PC game I’m creating. Hence, all the setup.
