Do you have reproduction steps and a log from your crash by chance? If you can see the MaterialAttributeLayers as an option when creating a new node in a material graph the feature is likely enabled as there’s only the single switch. Similarly the Layers tab in the instance editor is also hidden when the feature is disabled.
