They should maybe run the items submitted to the market place through a tech department at Epic or something. Like have a handful of developers where the marketplace people can ask from time to time if the item is worth the money asked for in the submission. Tech people/Devs can better say if the 3D content is just beginner made and cheap stuff, or if it is difficult to create and worth the money. Right now it seems I can submit anything to the market place, tell the apparently non-tech people there how good it is, how unique and so on, and can hit it with a nuts price tag.
Right now it seems the market place people have really not technical background.
The ‘photorealistic landscapes’ for $150 and the background mountains for $30 are so cheap and easy to make, it is almost illegal to offer them for any money, that is if there was something like moral laws. I mean I would feel bad if I did it, honestly.
Stuff like that is really like selling glas beads for land back in the days when our proud country, the USA, was in its first steps.
