Unreal Engine 5 crashes on Python plugin preload

I was expecting the amd64 build not to be compatibe with Intel, but it worked. Thank you for the help, by installing that version and replacing those 2 DLLs the UE5 finally started!

Why should I have to install Python to get UE5 to run? And if I do, why doesn’t it tell me that in the Epic launcher instead of making me investigate this crash first?

Anyway, installing “python-3.9.9-win7-amd64-full-202112060933.exe” directly into “Program Files\UE_5.0\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Python3\Win64” seems to have worked. I turned off all the optional components in the installer.

Note that it must be version 3.9.x. Installing 3.10 didn’t work.

I haven’t logged in here for the past decade, I just did to thank you, this didn’t just solve UE5 issue, but any other apps that rely on python like 3ds Max 2023 and Blender.

Will this work for UE5 5.1.0?

keeps saying the Python program is a virus. Anyone else?

Thank you! It worked.
