Resolution Issues since 4.23
For some reason the game starts on a bigger resolution than set. Even the SetRes commands seem bugged and wont apply the right resolution. There is a serious issue with this, as it’s currently breaking the game. Can someone give some insight on this? Many thanks in advance.
To reproduce simply start the third person template for example and try packaging with different resolutions, full screen and windowed, large and small. Lots of issues.

Ok it seems that the SteamVR Plugin is causing this issue, if you have the plugin disabled it works as intended, however with it enabled it messes up all resolutions. This is a big issue for my VR development atm
My guess is: all hands were needed for the Fortnite update.
Don’t play Fortnite but the new map does look really nice Hopefully they can release this patch soon now that its out!
i seem to be having problems with the blender28 fbx skeletal imports… perhaps someone in UE could give them a call, being as… just my two cents (smile)…

It doesn’t seem to be available on github.
The 4.23.1 hotfix corrupts the DeleteAsset and DeleteLoadedAsset functions. Now they freeze the editor for a couple of minutes before finally deleting assets.
Before this hotfix, it worked properly, deleting assets quickly.
Is it a known issue? Was there any change in 4.23.1 hotfix that migh have caused this…?
I’ll try to make a repro project and report it.
Update: It happens when trying to delete assets created by the Merge Actors tool (meshes and materials). I’ll investigate it further… Before the hotfix, it worked correctly.
Update 2: It seems to happen only when LoadAsset is used first, and the loaded asset is kept in a variable! Deleting assets without it works correctly.
I can’t reproduce this in a new project though, so there must be something interfering with my current project.
Update 3: I’ve fixed it in my project by not storing the LoadAsset output reference in a variable before deleting assets. I haven’t managed to reproduce this in a new project though, so it must have been something specific to my setup.

Where did you even get it ? I don’t see anything in the github repo.

Hi all, I’m having one curious problem with Localization Dashboard in 4.23.1: [HR][/HR]New project, 1 simple Widget “Hello World”, Localization Provider “None”, Game Target default name “Game”, add 2 Cultures (1 en-US Native, 1 pt-BR), gather all, find 2 words, edit translations “Hello World/Olá Mundo”, Save All, close the UE4.
When I open the editor again and go to Localization Dashboard, it created a new Game Target with the same default name “Game” with 0 world count, 1 culture, deleted all my export files (.po) and complains “Target name must be unique”. [HR][/HR]
Another thing: Looks like the Translation Editor toolbar is having problems with Small Tool Bar Icons.

Some new projects i’ve created this morning are lacking the Datasmith option for importing mesh in. Anyone else getting this?
After installing the 4.23.1 update my packaged game is now locked at 60 fps (was around 170-180 before update) I have tried playing around with smooth frame rate settings as well as ‘set frame rate limit’ in blueprint. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas would be gratefully received …

Bigfoist, I’m having no problems running my packaged game above 60fps (120+ in some locations). I have both “smooth frame rate” and “use fixed frame rate” turned off. I wonder if some combination of settings has affected you.
After installing the 4.23.1 update, calling “r.SetRes” console command in C++ crashes Packaged (Build Configuration:Shipping) game! (It was working perfect before this update.)
