But until now NVLink Bridge problem is still not resolved in Preview 3. Will the problem be fixed soon?
That stuff is basically trash, the 4.19 is now broken with missing commits, and the 409 pull request was merged into anothers repo, but that has issues as well. I’ve fixed them and uploaded them to my repo, but they still don’t produce working apps on the xbox itself.
Also the documentation is sparse, outdated, and doesn’t have an example project to test.
ANY RTX update/?
Preview 3 is giving me some kind of ‘lag or temp.’ editor freezes whilst having RTGI/Reflections/Translucency enabled (lowest possible settings).
Didn’t have this in Preview 2. In 2 I could have RTGI on all day on default settings and only crank settings up for a final screenshot.
Now I need to turn RTGI/Ref/Trans completely off in order to be able to work.
The lag (or whatever it is) starts occurring after first time usage of Play level (current window/new window etc doesn’t matter) and gets exponentially worse upon repeated usage of Play Level. After a while I need to reboot the editor cause it’s become almost completely unresponsive.
Tested the same scenes in 4.21 and 4.22 (preview3 but without -dx12 shortcut) and that works fine so it’s highly likely related to the new raytracing functionality and then something that has been added ONLY since preview 3?
Did preview 3 break Niagara content example 2.6 and 3.3?
Those two aren’t showing anything for me.

Thank you all for the answer about the Landscape. Another question. Using Ray Tracing Shadow , I don’t have shadows from one-sided objects, even if using double sided material. This feature is not supported, or should some option be enabled?
I’m seeing a startup crash on a project (copy). It opened fine once (after copying) then started crashing the next time I tried opening it. Is there any way to debug things like this or do I just wait until it is fixed? (well, if it’s even fixable)
Some things I noticed that were strange in the project was that the ambient cubemap lighting was being applied twice (or something, got brighter) but in a new project that didn’t happen. Another thing was that the skylight intensity went from 0 cd/2 (can’t remember the new value name) to 50000 or something where the slider should probably go from 0 to 10. Just writing this so I remember to test it again later and then submit bug reports if my project starts working again.
I got a project which I have successfully opened with Preview 2, crashing with Preview 3. I went to the Config.ini and removed to default editor map and could open the project. Other maps opened successfully, but the one originally as the default editor map was corrupted somehow, since opening it again crashed the editor. I just took a backup copy and overwrote it. It is unknown how that map ended up corrupted…

Anyone else seeing Oculus GearVR and Go projects strangely magnified in 4.22? Hard to explain but totally different from the 4.21 oculus branch
Not particularly, but I have performance issues and baked lighting issues (4.21.2 Oculus branch project + GPULightmass converted to stock 4.22p3). Btw, Oculus github just got 4.22p3 + 1.35 integration. Might want to see how it works there.
Yeah I am having the same issue with crashing maps. I’ve tried to track it down but there seems to be multiple things causing this corruption of a saved map file.
I have found that if I even edit (not even placed in the level) certain blueprint actors and then save the level it is corrupt next time I try to load it.
I have also had a material with a material function corrupt the saved level.
I have submitted the dump every time it has happened so hopefully they will have a chance to go over it.
Also I can’t even create a new blank blueprint project, I just get the error.

The only way I could fix it was to edit the .uproject file and change “Enterprise” to false (or remove it)
I wish if you created a new Blueprint Project (Not an Unreal Studio Project) it wouldn’t stuff Datasmith in there anyway.
This is a serious issue, definitely a showstopper, the engine as it is can’t go live with such issue. I am also submitting all the crashes and when I can and a detail on what I was doing. Hopefully it will be diagnosed and fixed in time.
Please look into the GPU VRAM usage e.g. with task-manager. My 4.22 prev2 slowly used more and more VRAM (memory leak?) until it’s full and then the editor gets very unresponsive. I don’t know how to solve it (beside editor restart) but that is the problem on my machine. GTX 2080 with Threadripper here.
Yes, I have the same problem. Several of my test projects have been damaged by Preview 3. After opening the project editor for the first time, I can hardly open it for the second time, and I will face collapse. And Preview 3 does not seem to have any DXR updates, and still lacks much content support. Do we need to wait until the third quarter version 4.23 to really make it work? With DXR?
Is it just me or 4.22p3 lacks ES3.1 and Vulkan preview option in the Editor ?
