Skeletal Mesh to Static Mesh Conversion lets you right-click actor(s) in the level viewport and convert their current state to a new Static Mesh asset.

I realize this will probably be 4.15, but is there any way we can get this same feature working on spline meshes? I heard right now each segment of a spline mesh costs separate draw calls. There is an FBX export option, but it would be nice to do it all in editor to preserve material assignments, etc.
