SUPER Exciting BUT, I can’t be the only now to notice this…
Blueprints
New! Alt + Right Click can now be used as an alternative to zoom Blueprint graphs.
Material Editor
New! You can now zoom in and out by holding Left + Right Mouse Buttons and dragging.
There has already been some great responses from the people at Epic about the navigation (being able to reverse MMB drag for instance)
These two Editors (Blueprint and Material) are conceptually similar and I feel that in all 2D editors the navigation should be similar.
Almost industry standard these days is
alt+LMB to Rotate around (not valid in 2D unless you rotate the canvas)
alt+MMB to Pan
alt+RMB to Zoom
Personally I would hope you take care to keep this stuff consistent throughout the editor - I am in no way saying lose the WASD stuff - I know plenty of people like it but regardless, these two methods of zoom are completely different and I just can’t see why (unless it’s a typo)
I also noticed, became a little incostente interface with two different ways to a similar interaction.
I think if you used the industry standard as you yourself mentioned, would be great.
