UE5.5 STAT UNIT shows big Input bottleneck even in template projects?Where does it came from?

Yesterday I accidentaly played my project in standalone instead inside editor view and I noticed huge FPS drop, so I used STAT UNIT to check what is going on.
To my big surprise I noticed there is orange INPUT metric, which I see the first time and I have no idea what is taht pointing to.


I have similar project in 5,4 and it runs smoothly, not even showing any Input metric at all when running command STAT UNIT.

Was googlin for about 2 jhouirs but couldnt find anything what that Input may be pointing at.
But found some clue that EnhancedInput has some working problems in 5.5

So for testing I created clean project in 5.4 and 5,5 with ThirdPersonTemplate and it seems to confrim some bad things happened in 5.5

OFC in 5.4 it runs smoothly,when Stat Unit in it Input metric even doesn’t show on the list.
But when I run the same on 5.5 = Epic’s clean 3rdPerson Template! and use command Stat Unit Input ofc shows on the list and seems to be the bottleneck, eating more ms than other(about 60 full scren in editor, about 100-120 in standalone fuulscreen) , especially Game and Draw together (not so uch as in my project but still pointed as a biggest ms deliver)
Any idea what is going on here? Was it somehow mentioned as a broken, being fixed soon, etc?
5.5 seems to have many problems (not mentioning fights with it and VS2002)

I upgraded my current project from 5.4.3 to 5.5.1 yesterday and have the same issue. Looks like a 5.5 bug - hopefully we’ll get an engine fix soon.

I have the same issue, and I don’t know what to do because I cannot revert to 5.4 that easily. Please let us know if you find a fix. Thanks!

Seeing this after upgrading to 5.5 as well. @LZGDev did you happen to profile the clean 3rd person template in any more detail? Curious what the exact culprit is. Will keep digging as well.

No, I did’t dig any deeper into this topic.
As others mentioned, seems 5.5 bug so probably won’t waste more time trying to fix something what should and hopefully will be done on Epic’s side.
Hope they see and will fix it sooner than later

Just updated to the new version and had this issue as well. When I restarted the project it worked fine.

The problems with Input are in latest version 5.5.3 as well. Does anyone know what that actually means?
RTX 3060 12GB, IntelCore i5-10600K. It persist on 70-85ms even on empty scene, sometimes spikes on 150ms.
