Triggering VDB sequence does not seem to work…?

Hi people - I have a VDB of an explosion. I am trying to get the VDB sequence to play in a sequencer at a specific time. I’ve tried many options, and nothing seems to work. I have animated “Frame” in the sequencer from the Heterogeneous Volume object; no luck. Even if I just slide the frame number in the sequencer, the VDB does not update in the viewport. I am using the stock Sparse Volume Material.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Edit: I setup the exact same scene in UE 5.5 and it seems to work. Don’t know what the difference is between the two unreal versions…
