Tips for Continuing to Improve Maps in Fortnite Creative?

Hi @FXGeeken
I’m glad to try to help you.

I think there are three main things you could work on to improve your map easily:

  1. The default lighting in UE5 is very good, so initially, I would go with a skybox using the default lighting. If you don’t know how to add a skybox, here’s a quick tutorial.

  2. The second thing I’d do is enclose the map. As it is now, the user might feel like they could fall off the edges, and invisible collisions don’t look very good. You could fix this by adding mountains, trees (like a wooded area), buildings, or something similar around the map.

  3. I think adding a “street” texture to the ground and a few extra touches to the map could improve it a lot as well. What you add will depend on the aesthetic you want to achieve, but I can suggest some examples like grass, trash on the ground, park benches, potted plants, signs, a parked car, a bike; essentially filler items like piles of leaves, boxes light poles and so on.

PLUS: There are some free and paid assets that you can use in the FAB on the top bar.

I’ll leave you a dressing reference, and I hope I have been helpful! :crossed_fingers:
